Abstract submission

Abstract submission is now open! The deadline for submitting your abstract is Saturday, February 1, 2025, 11:59 PM..

You can submit your abstract by following the steps below:
1. Click on the register button to sign up for the event
2. Complete the form and click 'yes' in response to the following question: "Do you want to submit an abstract for the Sophia Research Day 2025?”
3. Upload your abstract using the provided Word format and further guidelines
4. Submit the form


If you plan to submit multiple abstracts, please use separate Word files for each abstract and upload them in a single registration form.


Abstract guidelines

To submit your abstract, please download the Word format provided below and use it to create your submission.

Before uploading your abstract, please read the following information:
● Abstracts must be submitted in English and should not exceed 300 words. This does not include the author’s details, title, headings and table/figures.
● Your abstract may be supplemented by one table or figure. Please note that the table or figure should accompany your results and should not show standalone results.
● When listing author names, use their initials (separated by periods) followed by their last names. The author who will present the abstract should be listed first. After each author's name, add a superscript number to indicate their affiliation. Affiliation details should be listed in the following order: department, institution/hospital, city, country. For example:

A.B. Example1, B.A. Demonstration2
Affiliations:
1 Department of Pediatric Surgery, Erasmus University Medical Center - Sophia Children's Hospital, Rotterdam, The Netherlands
2 Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Erasmus University Medical Center - Sophia Children's Hospital, Rotterdam, The Netherlands

The abstract should be structured as follows:
1. TITLE: please make sure your title is in capital letters
2. Introduction
3. Materials and methods
4. Results
5. Conclusion
6. Optional: one table or figure

● The abstract file should be named in the following format: SRD abstract - *last name*, *first name*

● Please note that we will only consider abstracts that meet the requirements mentioned above.
